When businesses support TeamMates and encourage their employees to mentor, both the business and the employee benefit. Businesses show how their organization cares and gives back to the community. Businesses help educate and train the workforce to help create productive members of our community. Helping young people create a vision for their future gives employees a fresh perspective on their lives and work, thus improving employee attitude and creating a stronger connection with the company.
TeamMates is fortunate to have many business partners within the Lincoln community that provide financial support, encourage employees to volunteer to mentor, or both.
Recently TeamMates was able to partner with SUBWAY® restaurants and the Finish Line Youth Foundation. The Finish Line Foundation provided a grant to assist with the Abbott Summer Camp to help TeamMates students, grades 4 – 8, to attend the camp. Campers learn teamwork and social skills through participation in a variety of sports activities and enrichment activities. The Lincoln Finish Line located in Gateway Mall is one of more than 660 stores in the nation. From April 15th to August 31st, more than 100 local SUBWAY® restaurants are participating in the “You Share. We Share” campaign, which encourages community members to get out and share their weekends with SUBWAY® restaurants.
