The University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business Administration Executive Education program will host four Executive Power Lunches to share the latest ideas and strategies in management. Presented in Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Dennis Duchon, E.J. Faulkner Professor of Management, will present “Making Better Decisions,” and Dr. Tammy Beck, associate dean and associate professor of management, will present “Making Work Matter: Finding Passion at Work.” These events are designed to introduce professionals to hot topics in a best practices format and provide businesses with ideas for professional and corporate growth.
“Today’s business professionals face complex challenges in a world of fast-paced change,” said Dr. Donde Plowman, James Jr. and Susan Stuart Endowed Dean of the College of Business Administration. “Our power lunch series provides a place for cutting-edge ideas about business to meet the challenges of everyday practice.”
Duchon’s power lunch entitled “Making Better Decisions” will sharpen decision making skills by reviewing how human psychology plays into the decision making process. Duchon will speak in Omaha on Wednesday, February 4, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at TD Ameritrade, 200 S. 108 Ave. In Lincoln, his power lunch is Wednesday, March 4, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at Wick Alumni Center, 1520 R St.
Beck will explore job crafting in “Making Work Matter: Finding Passion at Work.” Job crafting can be a powerful tool for reenergizing and reimagining work positions by incorporating strengths and passions. Beck will speak in Lincoln on Wednesday, February 18, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at Wick Alumni Center. She will conclude the power lunch series in Omaha on Wednesday, March 25, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at TD Ameritrade.

As of December 10th, ALDI, the nation’s low-price grocery leader, now offers grocery shoppers a smarter alternative as the select assortment discount grocer opened its second Lincoln store, located at 8350 O Street. The new location allows more shoppers to discover the store’s premium ALDI exclusive brands and high-quality grocery items at incredibly low prices.
To celebrate the new store, ALDI hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and directly afterwards, the first 100 shoppers received a golden ticket, each containing a prize. Ashley Pavlish is pleased to announce that she celebrated her 5-year anniversary this last October! Ashley started working at Body Nouveaux in 2001 at the front desk and was a body wrap technician for several years.
