Mourning Hope Grief Center, located at 4919 Baldwin Avenue, is proud to announce that 2014 marks their 20th year of offering hope and healing to families in the Lincoln community. Throughout 2014, Mourning Hope Grief Center plans to celebrate with different activities, the courage demonstrated by thousands of bereaved children and their caregivers over the last two decades.  At Mourning Hope, youth have the opportunity to participate in peer-based support groups who have experienced similar losses. Children, teens and their adult caregivers are taught healthy coping skills for dealing with the death of a loved one. They are given the freedom to grieve in their own way and at their own pace. Ultimately, they learn that while grief is terribly hard work, hope and healing are possible, and no one ever has to grieve alone.

In 1994, Pam Dinneen and Kay Kronholm started Mourning Hope Grief Center with a dream of providing critical support services to grieving children in our community, and building within them the coping skills needed to prevent negative outcomes in their lives.
