The Superior Hy-Vee store on North 27th Street in Lincoln hosted a grand reopening ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 6 to celebrate the completion of its remodeling project, which involved completely refacing the exterior and updating the interior of the store.

The remodeling project, which began in November 2013, included building a sit-down, full-service Hy-Vee Market Café restaurant and a 6,000-square-foot Wine and Spirits department. The store now has expanded frozen and dairy departments, and the HealthMarket and pharmacy both doubled in size. Overall, the $10 million project added 20,000 square feet to the store and created 125 new jobs.

Ambassadors from the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Hy-Vee executives and employees were in attendance to cut the ribbon.
