B&R Stores’ Smokehouse team earned 19 awards at the 2014 Nebraska Association of Meat Processors (NAMP) Cured Meats Competition. The team took Best of Show honors for the boneless ham entered by “Smokin’” Bob Voss, Smokehouse manager at the Super Saver at 27th and Pine Lake Road in Lincoln. Voss has worked in Super Saver Smokehouses for nearly 30 years. In addition to the boneless ham, Voss earned first place awards for bone-in ham, dried beef and beef jerky. Other team members include Adam Meisenheimer, Smokehouse manager at the Super Saver in Millard, and Keith Johnson from the Russ’s Market in Hastings.
