Tell us a little about your business. – I work at a funeral home, but not your ordinary funeral home.  We like to make each service very unique; when you come in to meet with me you won’t feel like you’re at a funeral home.  I like to think it’s more relaxing.

How did you get started in the business? – I am a 4th generation funeral director, so I have been involved in the business since I turned 16.  I worked at a local mortuary during college, and after graduating from mortuary school I came back to Lincoln.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Dealing with death, not only with the elderly but also having to make arrangements for someone who didn’t get the opportunity to live as long.

Tell us a little about your family. – I am recently engaged and have a 3 year old dog named Bella.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – Choosing to leave a bigger business in order to help build an up-and-coming business that can offer just as much.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I am very active at CrossFit Lincoln.  I can be found there almost every night and on the weekends.  It’s a good release from the business side of things.

What are you the most proud of? – I recently competed with CrossFit Lincoln at the regional event for the CrossFit Games.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – “Whatever you do, do it completely and whole heartedly.” My dad has been telling me this since I was in junior high.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? – To be multiple places at once.  It seems as though sometimes I have to spread myself pretty thin to get everything I need done accomplished.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – I would be a pilot. I love to fly.

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? – I really enjoyed The Hunger Games series.

What is your favorite TV show? – Big Bang Theory and Shark Tank are my favorites right now.  I definitely like to unwind at night with some TV time.
