Tell us a little about your business. – Peoples Mortgage opened its doors in Arizona in 1998 with the mission of offering competitive real estate financing with unmatched service. This straightforward approach has given Peoples a solid reputation in the industry and paved the way for National expansion.

With competitive financing in mind, Peoples Mortgage has established unique lending relationships with several investors in the secondary market to maximize program versatility, while maintaining the benefits of direct lending pricing. Recognizing the unique needs of each of our clients, each Loan Officer has access to competitive pricing for an expansive list of loan programs including Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA loans for a new home purchase or refinance of an existing home.

How did you get started in the business? – I started in the mortgage business in 1996 as a loan officer with McGuire Mortgage.  A good friend of mine worked for them and thought I would be a good fit and recommended me for the position.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – Surviving in the mortgage industry through the housing crisis and keeping up with vast overhaul of lending practices.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – Making people’s dream of homeownership a reality.

Tell us a little about your family. – My husband Brad and I have been married for 15 years and have a wonderful 14 year old daughter, Madison who is a freshman at East High.  My husband Brad works for Fed–Ex and is also owner/operator of a food truck – Mueller’s Doghouse.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – Get together with friends and family, or watch my daughter’s sports events.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? – I am an identical twin and have a twin brother and sister.

What are you the most proud of? – What I have accomplished so far in life and my wonderful husband and daughter.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? – Be yourself and look people in the eyes when you’re talking to them.

If you could choose only once descriptive word to be remembered as, what would it be? – Loyal.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? – Cooking and hosting parties.

Which talent would you most like to have? – I’d like to be able to sing!  I can’t carry a tune in a bucket.

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – I would probably own my own restaurant or catering company.

What is your favorite local restaurant? – Besides Mueller’s Doghouse (my husband’s food truck) it would have to be Lazlo’s.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? – Ellen Degeneres.  I think she is hilarious and very down to earth.
