Tell us a little about your business. – The Margarita Man takes away all the hassle in serving your favorite frozen drinks. We deliver, set up, clean up and pick up the machines. After delivering your margarita machine we also make your first batch for you and leave you with easy to follow instructions to help you entertain any size and all kinds of parties!

How did you get started in the business? – My brother, Brett, and I had both rented and tried the product and thought it was a great small business. We both enjoyed the product and noticed an opportunity in which we believed we could grow the company. The best thing about the business is that I get to help people celebrate their special occasions! Knowing and believing in our product gives me excitement and enthusiasm; I want everyone to have an opportunity to party with The Margarita Man.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? – From the beginning of this journey it has been a learning experience for both my brother and I. I suppose the biggest challenge in front of us is growing our business and finding unique ways to advertise our company. The existing franchise has been around for about 10 years and has always been based out of Lincoln. During this time, the majority of our sales have been in and around the Lincoln area. We hope to make The Margarita Man a familiar name not just in Lincoln but the Omaha metro area as well. We currently operate offices in both Lincoln and Omaha.

What has been your most important achievement professionally? – This was all possible and my dreams came true when my brother and I bought the franchise officially on March 21st.

Tell us a little about your family. – I am the youngest of three.  My brothers, Chris and Brett, and I grew up in Norfolk with our parents Jerry and Deb Cover who are both teachers. I recently married the love of my life on August 24th of 2013. Brett and his wife Sara have three sons–twin boys Cade and Cole who are 6 years old and Kyler who is 2 ½ years old.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? – My life was forever changed in the course of one month. When I was 24 years old and enlisted in the Navy Seals I was set to begin my military training on August 4th of 2010. On July 12th my mother had died of cancer. The next day I went to the hospital for kidney stones which ultimately caused a medical discharge of my contract with the military. Within the next two weeksI met my future wife and I’m now happily married. I will forever believe in blessings in disguise.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? – I always say it’s not a day off unless you take a nap.

If you had a theme song, what would it be? – “Margaritaville” by Jimmy Buffett!

If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? – Professional Golfer.

If our readers would like to contact you, how should they do so? – You can always reach me by calling The Margarita Man at (402) 770-0665 as well as www.themargman.com.
