Brad Miller started going out with his dad and grandpa on jobs for their family company, Lincoln Tent, when he was very young.  When he got a bit older, he began going to state farm shows, which led him to full time work for the company all summer during high school and college. Brad is now a crew leader at Lincoln Tent, which was established in 1903 and purchased by the Miller family in 1971.  They manufacture their own tents and then take them all over the U.S. to set them.

Tell us a little about your family.
I have the best wife in the world, Lori, and the two cutest kids, Andrea (5) and Carter (4). Both with red hair, of course.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
Graduating college. It was like a huge burden was lifted off my shoulders. I wanted a 4 year degree, but don’t really need it for the business. Then when the kids were born it was even harder to push through, but I did, and I’m glad I spent the time to go to UNL.

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off?
Spending the day at home, running around with my kids and relaxing with my wife. Since I work a lot of long hours in the summer, I try and randomly take days off in the slow season to be with my family.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
Some people know this… but I’m a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. I’ve traveled to games nearby like Chicago and Kansas City. I went to the Super Bowl when they played in it and have been to Philly numerous times just for games. One great surprise trip my wife got for me for a birthday present!

What are you the most proud of?
My family. I’m so lucky to have them and wouldn’t trade my life for anyone’s.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.”

What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish?
I’d love to attend a game in every NFL stadium in the U.S. Well, that is if they start playing again.

How would your friends describe you?
Quiet, I take it all in. Kind. Hard to make me angry.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life?
I’m pretty good with numbers and like to watch the stock market. With my finance degree I could have been a stock broker, but that would mean sitting in an office all day and I’m not sure I could have done that.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
To have a better memory!

What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?
Saving Faith by David Baldacci

What is your favorite movie?
Inception

What is your favorite TV show?
Sports- I pretty much can watch any of them. Or Castle.

What is your favorite Lincoln restaurant?
The Parthenon

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?
Jeffrey Lurie- the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles.
