They list and sell homes, lots and commercial property and also have numerous builders. RE/MAX has been in Lincoln since 1977 and was called RE/MAX Real Estate Group until 2008 when it was purchased and the name was changed to RE/MAX Real Estate Concepts.

Ken Emmons, Associate Broker/Co-owner, Michelle Benes, Realtor/Co-owner, Larry Holmes, Broker/Co-owner, Dwight Brown, Realtor, Co-owner. All of us live in Lincoln which makes us locally owned.
What do you think makes you different from other companies similar to yours?
We are locally owned but nationally known. We make decisions here with the support of the largest real estate company in the world.
What do you like about doing business in Lincoln?
The relationships we build within the community.
What kind of community organizations/groups are you involved with?
Boys Scouts of America, Meals on Wheels, Susan G Komen, Children’s Miracle Network, Blades for Grades.
Do you have a business philosophy or mission statement?
One of our highest objectives is to create and maintain a positive, professional and enjoyable work place. We use the latest technology, training and education available to all RE/MAX Associates. We will work with agents to motivate them to perform at their highest potential. We will strive to achieve the highest level of professionalism and integrity during every transaction from start to finish with our clients and other agents.
What changes have you seen in the industry and your company in the past few years?
With the downturn in the economy and the housing bubble, we have seen the terms “short sales” and “foreclosure” become apart of our daily vocabulary, which made the real estate market a bit more challenging.
What do you see happening with the business in the next 5 years?
In 2012 we have seen a rebound in housing. In fact, depending on the price range, there is actually a bit of a shortage in Lincoln.
What is one of the biggest challenges that your company has faced?
Maintaining the culture for the company. It’s easy to grow but we want to grow the right way. We are picky when it comes to selecting agents and aren’t will to accept just anyone.
What has been your most important achievement as a business?
Opening a brand new second office. We focused on what the agents need to be efficient and effective based on their input.
What was the biggest turning point in your business?
Choosing the location for our second office. We knew we needed to be in a location that was visible and easy to get to.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about your business that most people don’t know?
Our office represents nine builders. These builders build all over Lincoln and surrounding areas. They also have access to exclusive RE/MAX lots. Between the owners we have over 70 years of real estate experience in Lincoln.
What is one goal for your business that you have yet to accomplish?
To grow the number of agents we can help achieve their goals. From the company side of things, we feel a sense of responsibility to do all we can to make our agents as successful
as they want to be.
