A few years ago, Courtney Hawkins’ commercial realtor friend was showing property to the CEO of a dating service looking to come to Omaha and was searching for a qualified person to run his Omaha office.  The friend gave him Courtney’s name and she ended up running the office for a few years before deciding she wanted to start her own dating service.  The result was Omaha Love, a private organization for singles which specializes in introductions.  They work with a lot of professionals in the Omaha area who don’t have the time to meet other quality singles.  They meet and screen everyone who’s interested in person and do criminal background checks on everyone and their members work with their very own matchmaker who helps them coordinate all of their dates.  Omaha Love also has member parties and social events for members to get to know each other in more of a non-threatening environment.

Tell us a little about your family. - I am an only child so my immediate family is very small.  I have two wonderful parents who have been married 30 years.  My dad owns his own business, and my mom is a Realtor.  Most of my other family lives around or in Omaha.

What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? - Getting my Bachelor’s degree was a huge accomplishment for me.  I initially had no interest in going to college.  When I finally finished school and got that degree, I knew I could do anything I set my mind to!

What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? - Spend time with friends and family.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? - I am a huge animal lover and a homebody.
What are you the most proud of? -  I’m proud that I can juggle quite a few things and not lose focus on what is important.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? - People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.

What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish? - To open up offices internationally.

If you could have a super power, what would it be? - Telepathy

What are your plans after retirement? - I don’t ever plan on fully retiring!  When I have some more time, I would love to get more education, possibly a Master’s Degree.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? - I am a pretty good writer.  Initially I wrote a lot of the content that is on Omaha Love’s website, but I definitely don’t utilize this talent daily at this point.

Which talent would you most like to have? - I’d like to be more artistic/creative.
