Union Bank & Trust recently promoted Taylor Ashburn to Vice President – Residential Construction Lending Manager and Residential Real Estate Lending Manager, and Steve Fielder to Investment Officer-Fixed Income.
Ashburn began his career at Union Bank working in the Customer Service Division. He has been instrumental in developing business in the Residential Construction and Real Estate Lending area since he joined the Mortgage Department in 2011. Ashburn oversees the team of Bankers who originate construction loans, portfolio mortgage loans, investment property loans, bridge loans and home equity loans/lines of credit for Union Bank. A 2004 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Ashburn completed the bank’s Leadership Development Program and was named “Top 150 Mortgage Loan Officer in America” by The Scotsman Guide in 2010.
Fielder started at Union Bank in 2001 as a Teller at the Williamsburg Branch. In 2002, Fielder joined Union Investment Management Group in a student position and moved to a full-time position upon graduation in 2005. Fielder is responsible for UIMG’s operations and securities trading functions and serves as administrator for the programs and software used by UIMG. Additionally, he assists with fixed-income portfolio implementation. Fielder is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Finance and he has completed Level 1 of the CFA program.
