Realtor’s Affordable Housing Committee Receives Affordable Housing Award

The Affordable Housing Committee at the Realtors Association of Lincoln was named the 2011 recipient of the Dan Peterson Affordable Housing Award. Given in memory of Bob and Joan Peterson’s son, Bob presented the award to Lynn Allison, 2011 chair of the committee, at the Home Builders Association of Lincoln’s annual installation and awards banquet January 16, 2012.

The Affordable Housing Committee raises awareness in the community, showing how the lack of affordable housing can affect jobs, education and safe neighborhoods. They develop programs that expand housing availability as well as partner with other groups to develop and advocate new approaches to make housing more attainable by consumers.
