The Lincoln Airport Authority Board of Directors recently announced David Haring as the new executive director of the Lincoln Airport. Haring will begin his new position in September 2014, replacing current Executive Director John Wood, who recently announced plans to retire.

Haring brings 13 years of experience with him from the Cheyenne Regional Airport in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where he currently serves as the airport’s director of aviation.  He will be responsible for the operation of all airport and aviation facilities. He will also oversee development of Lincoln Air Park West, the industrial park operated by the Lincoln Airport Authority.

Haring earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of North Dakota. He is a Certified Member (C.M.) with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and has been extensively involved in the Cheyenne community.

The search committee that selected Haring as executive director of the Lincoln Airport included members of the Lincoln Airport Authority and representatives of the Lincoln community.  Upon being selected, Haring said he’s looking forward to leading the Lincoln Airport into the future.
