Sunday, September 7th marks the 5th year for “Music in the Vines,” Voices of Hope’s popular fundraising event that features great music in a beautiful vineyard along with food and wine. If you haven’t attended this event in the past, you won’t want to miss it this year.
“Music in the Vines” is held at the Prairie View Vineyard, 1333 Prairie View Road, located 3.5 miles east of 148th St. on Old Cheney Rd, at about 192nd St.. Admission for the music festival is a suggested donation of $20 per person.
The music will begin at 3:00 pm with Jarana, featuring classical guitarist Daniel Martinez, followed at 4:00 pm by bluegrass band Lye Soap and the always competitive and fun grape stomping contest. The final performance is the cover band Out Loud, playing popular and classic songs from the ‘60s to present, from 5-7 pm. There will be food and wine for sale, provided by Annette’s Catering and Deer Springs Winery, and a raffle featuring tickets to Nebraska athletic events, gift certificates to popular restaurants, and several themed baskets.
Bring your own lawn chair, blanket or tailgating tent for this outdoor event. All proceeds will help Voices of Hope continue to provide 24-hour-a-day crisis intervention services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
