With pressing federal issues still stalled and awaiting resolution between the sparring political parties in Congress, the Chambers’ 2014 Legislative Summit on August 7th is the perfect opportunity to hear direct reports from our U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives. Nebraska’s federal officials have made the Legislative Summit a traditional “first stop” during their August work period because it reaches an expansive audience of Nebraska leaders and stakeholders.  Nebraska Governor Candidates will also address attendees during the Summit.

The Summit will include a luncheon and keynote address by Rob Engstrom, Senior Vice President and National Political Director at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  Mr. Engstrom will provide an overview of this year’s key U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives races as both parties battle for control of Congress.

The Federal Legislative Summit will be held from 8:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the Strategic Air & Space Museum.  The cost to attend this event is $95 for Chamber members and $125 for non-members, and registration will close on July 31st.  For registration assistance or for more information about the Chambers’ 2014 Legislative Summit, please contact Kathy Hale at (402) 436-2385 or khale@lcoc.com or visit www.nechamber.net/event/2014-legislative-summit-online-registration.
