Safe Quarters is a one-day, community-wide effort to raise funds and awareness for victims of domestic violence. On October 12, 2014, hundreds of volunteers will canvass the city knocking on the door of each and every household to request support. Last year, over $110,000 was raised.
Friendship Home is seeking teams of volunteers to walk throughout Lincoln on October 12th collecting financial contributions to provide the families seeking shelter at Friendship Home with “safe quarters”. A team generally consists of 8-10 members.
To register a team, visit www.friendshiphome.org and click on the Safe Quarters tab. For questions and/or more information about Safe Quarters, contact Lauren at firstname.lastname@example.org or 402-434-0167.
Friendship Home provides safe shelter, support and advocacy for those who fall victim to domestic abuse. To access safe shelter and services, call (402) 437-9302.
