City Impact recently held a Lincoln Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting event at Peter Pan Park on May 20th to kick off their “I Heart My City” campaign.  “I Heart My City” is a new public awareness campaign highlighting the various City Impact programs and community volunteer opportunities.  The event was also held in honor of City Impact joining the Chamber as a new member.  Officially founded in 1997, City Impact (CI) has grown to serve Lincoln’s urban neighborhoods in a variety of ways including the CI Impact Reading Center program currently at Elliot and Clinton elementary schools and expanding to two new schools (total of four) in the Fall of 2014, Gifts of Love™ each December and numerous programs and mentoring groups for teens and adults.
