WorkWell is pleased to announce that they will now be accepting applications for the 2014 Governor’s Wellness Award. This award is presented to businesses that have collected basic health and interest data, written a wellness plan, implemented the wellness plan, and can demonstrate outcomes. Other areas of the award include leadership, community service, and policy and benefit options that support health and wellness. The award was established to encourage all businesses to offer programs and services to improve the health of Nebraskans regardless of the company size and resources. Over 170 organizations have received the award from across the state and the numbers continue to grow as more Nebraska companies develop worksite wellness programs.
The application will be due for peer review by May 30th, and the final application deadline will be June 27th at midnight. Make sure to watch for the announcement of the Governor’s Wellness Awards Banquets, which will be held in both Lincoln and Gering, NE in the fall.
