Southlake Village Rehabilitation & Care Center is proud to announce that its parent company, Vetter Health Services is helping to promote an educational event sponsored by Martin Bros. Distributing Co. Inc. and Activity Connection.  This event provides an incredible upcoming dementia training opportunity on July 28th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Omaha Marriott, 10220 Regency Circle.

The presentation, featuring Teepa Snow, who is best known for her revolutionary Positive Approach to Brain Change, is entitled “Making a Difference: Best Practices in Dementia Care.” After watching her role play and hands-on training, you will leave with techniques and an understanding of your dementia residents that you didn’t have before. The goal of this specialized training is to return to your community with a new outlook and with resources that you can implement immediately to see results. To get a better idea of the presentation content, watch Teepa Snow in action at teepasnow.com.

The cost to attend this training event is $75, which includes breakfast, lunch, and refreshments. Register online at info.martinsnet.com/teepa – deadline for registration is set for July 14th. For more information, please call Becky Eighmey at (319) 553-0482.
