High Plains Alzheimer’s Special Care Center, located at 5601 S. 84th Street, recently celebrated the longest day in June by hosting a Rock-a-Thon on June 20th from 2-4 p.m.  While raising awareness and funds to support the Alzheimer’s Association, guests rocked the heat away and had the opportunity to meet and network with community professionals while enjoying refreshments and plenty of good fun!

At High Plains, they understand that caring for a loved one with some form of dementia is a difficult and challenging experience. Furthermore, they understand that the decision to place a loved one in the care of others is perhaps the most difficult decision you will ever make. High Plains strives to provide a warm, caring and supportive environment where residents can experience daily routines and familiar faces, and their programs are designed to add meaning and value to their lives and to help them feel safe and secure.
