Conversations, a new business operated by Jackie J. Bates RN, CHPN based on her published journal and handbook “Conversations: Living Through The Process of Dying”, has announced they will offer education, public speaking and consulting services.  Bates has a passion to educate the community regarding end-of-life care and helping to protect people’s dignity during the process of dying.  Part of this work is to meet with people in their homes, where they are directing and choosing their care.  Bates has more than 32 years of nursing experience and is a Certified Hospice and Palliative RN.  Speaking engagements will focus on important issues and concerns related to end-of-life needs and opportunities, and the goal is to help families get those important conversations started.  Programs will be available to businesses, churches and community organizations, and topics will be tailored to the specific audience.  Consultations, or “Living Room Discussions” will serve to assist people in taking the next step for caregiving needs in the privacy of their own homes.
