Pharmaceutical research company Celerion has officially sold its Lincoln facilities at 6th & Rose Streets. Within the terms of the deal, which closed on June 24th, Broadstone Net Lease acquired two properties tenanted by Celerion, Inc, one of the world’s largest clinical research organizations.

The company sold its local property, including the main building and testing lab, two smaller buildings and vacant land in the area, for just under $15 million to Broadstone Real Estate LLC of Rochester, New York. Broadstone also bought Celerion’s facilities in Phoenix, AZ.

Celerion, which most recently employed approximately 330 employees in Lincoln, will lease back the property in a 15-year contract agreement, according to information on Broadstone’s website at www.broadstone.com.

Celerion, which got its start in Lincoln as Harris Laboratories dating back to 1933, was acquired last fall by New York private equity firm MTS Health Investors. Celerion conducts comprehensive pharmacology studies and focuses on complex trials for first-in-human and proof-to-concept studies that support innovative drug development.
