Bryan Health is proud to announce the opening of the new Bryan Independence Center facility, marking a new era in the organization’s commitment to battling substance abuse addictions.  In celebration, a Lincoln Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting was held on September 12.

For 43 years, the Bryan Independence Center has offered the region’s most comprehensive and forward-thinking treatment programs for people with alcohol and drug addictions and their families. Now, a new building to support advanced care will provide a place for hope, treatment and healing.

The Bryan Independence Center spared no detail in the implementation of providing the best treatment facility to its clients. Patient rooms offer a comfortable atmosphere and are semi-private. Nursing stations were designed to be open and face outward so there are no barriers in supervising patients. Pieces of framed art display pictures of prominent local and international figures that have made a difference and inspire hope. A classroom was constructed to provide schooling and tutoring for adolescents while receiving treatment. Finally, spacious indoor and outdoor recreation areas provide the opportunity to focus on physical health that can be key in aiding recovery.

The new facility was built at a price of $6.1 million and was funded with donations from area foundations, private businesses, community members and Bryan Health employees.
