Piedmont Shopping Center announced today that they will be updating its name to The Shoppes at Piedmont. “We updated the name because we are more than just a shopping center. With the new renovations and the variety of businesses, The Shoppes at Piedmont just sounded more fitting,” said owner Steve Glenn. “We are proud to have a variety of businesses already open, and we are excited to announce new ones as they come.” The Shoppes at Piedmont is currently home to more than 13 locally-owned businesses.
The Shoppes at Piedmont has been a Lincoln landmark for more than 50 years. The nearly blighted area was purchased by local investors in June of 2013. Immediately, plans for a multimillion dollar renovation were put into action. The renovation project is expected to be completed later this summer.
