After 92 years on AM, KFOR 1240 AM has extended its reach to the FM band. The top quality programming that listeners have trusted for decades from Lincoln’s heritage radio station can now also be found at FM 103.3.

“Serving the Lincoln community has been the top priority of KFOR since it began broadcasting in 1924 and our new presence on FM gives us fresh and exciting opportunities to serve even more. We’re proud of KFOR’s strong legacy, and we are excited to become even more accessible to our valued listeners,” says General Manager Julie Gade.

Generations of listeners are familiar with KFOR’s reputation for broadcast excellence. The award-winning station is the voice of the community, bringing vital news and information that are important in their listeners’ everyday life.

Listeners on the FM band will now be able to experience Lincoln’s full-service News, Weather and Information station, along with daily live interviews with community leaders and dignitaries. On both the AM and FM bands, KFOR will continue its commitment to provide local information and news from the award-winning KFOR Newsroom.

Among its many awards, KFOR has received radio’s highest honor for excellence in community service four times…honored with the National Association of Broadcasters’ Crystal Award in 1991, 2004, 2008, and 2011.
