This is the second year in a row the Accord, widely considered as America’s most popular car with individual buyers, has been recognized by IHS Automotive with a loyalty award for superior performance in owner retention.
IHS Automotive surveys provide an in-depth analysis of automotive shopping behaviors, related market influencers and are a tool for development of retention and conquest strategies. The IHS Automotive Loyalty Awards recognize manufacturers for superior owner-loyalty performance, which is determined when a household that owns a particular vehicle returns to market to purchase or lease another new vehicle of the same model or make. The 2014 awards are based on an analysis of personal new vehicle registrations during the 2014 model year, which ran from October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014.
