The Russ’s Market store in Hastings, NE, celebrated its Grand Opening last month for several weeks, beginning October 14. The store offered special savings during the celebration along with opportunities to enter drawings for prizes including TVs, gas grills and groceries. Several in-store events also showcased features of the new Russ’s Market store, located at Sixth Street and Burlington Avenue in Hastings.

The 50,806-square-foot building is about 60 percent larger than the former store. The new Russ’s Market opened in June, but there was still work to be done. Crews spent several weeks demolishing the previous store to make room for a new, larger parking lot.

Pat Raybould, president of B&R Stores (the parent company of Russ’s Market), said the Hastings community has welcomed the new products and services offered at the Russ’s Market store.  Hastings has been home to a Russ’s Market store for nearly 30 years. The new Russ’s Market employs 152 people, an increase of about 60 full- and part-time jobs.
