On Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at 1:30 p.m., Contemporary Woods celebrated the opening of their new location at 4815 S. 14th Street with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Contemporary Woods is a local family owned business based on Nebraska values. They design and hand craft unique and custom furniture, with the goal of becoming Nebraska’s foremost furniture maker.
Owner of Contemporary Woods, Adam McKee, has had a passion for fine woodworking and construction since he was 13 years old. His family has had a long history of construction and the shop is just across the street from his father and grandfather’s shop.
Contemporary Woods not only builds furniture they design, but also furniture for the customer. They are able to build the furniture that the customer dreams up and can build it to specifically meet their needs.
