Susan Coffey started her career in the Commercial Real Estate Industry 20 years ago working for a local developer in Lincoln Nebraska.
She has managed leased and developed Commercial Real Estate such as a Super Regional Shopping Center, Strip Centers, a Life Style Center, Office Buildings and Residential Properties. Currently Susan is working on a redevelopment project for S & G Commercial Real Estate located at 70th & A, Clocktower Shopping Center.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? - Redeveloping a distressed multi-family HUD project and directing a large commercial & residential portfolio.
What has been your most important achievement professionally? - Directing and developing a TEAM that enjoyed their jobs and working together.
Tell us a little about your family. - I have been married 25 years and have 2 children. My Son Blaine is in College in Denver and Shayla is in high school.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life? - Walking daily with the prince of peace and trusting his plan.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? - Read, garden, play with my toy poodles and visit with friends and family.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? - Most people don’t know that I’m a certified snow skiing instructor.
What are you the most proud of? - My family is a gift that I cherish and am proud of my 25 year relationship with my husband and my two children.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? - My father always said...everything in moderation.
What is the one goal you would most like to accomplish? - To learn my mother’s native language, Spanish
How would your friends describe you? - Driven, positive and fun!
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? - I really use most of my skills and talents due to the many hats I wear. Wife, mother and business women.
Which talent would you most like to have? - A beautiful singing voice and to speak several languages.
What is your favorite book or the last good book you read? - The Return of Depression Economics by Paul Krugman and Understanding the Koran by Martin Elass

What is your favorite Lincoln restaurant? - I don’t really have just one – I have many favorite restaurants depending on my mood or social gathering.
